Project Focus: people, music, and the urban neighborhood I had the pleasure to meet these kind and talented musicians — nicknamed Rockstar and Zorba — at a rather boisterous rice planting “after party” on a natural farm in Hongcheon, South Korea while filming for the Final Straw documentary. After returning to Seoul I spent much time in a few small cafes, editing natural farming photos and footage. During this time, I happened to meet many local city farmers and creatives, and really got a feel for this wonderful little alley in the area around Hong-ik University and had the mind to document the spirit of this street somehow. Being neighborhood locals themselves, I asked if the two musicians would be interested in being the focal point of the shoot and they gladly accepted. Here is the result. I hope you enjoy this little taste of an “old town” neighborhood in Seoul… |
